- Acceptance letter from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI)
- Proof of financial support (tuition + living expenses)

- Language proficiency (may be required depending on program)

- Maintained full-time student status
- Completed a program of at least 8 months
- Graduated from an eligible program
- Applied within 180 days of graduation
- Must meet field eligibility if program starts on/after Nov 1, 2024

- • Study permit is not a visa - you may need a visitor visa or eTA to enter Canada
- • You must maintain full-time student status to keep your study permit valid
- • Work authorization is automatic for eligible students (no separate permit needed)
- • PGWP can only be obtained once in a lifetime
- • Some programs may not be eligible for PGWP (check DLI eligibility)
- • Health insurance is mandatory in most provinces
- • Processing times may be longer during peak application periods
